Her is currently the Interim Superintendent for the Fresno Unified School District in California. Her priorities are to focus on enhance student learning, foster robust engagement and trust, provide supports need to succeed and uphold fiscal stability and responsibility.
Misty Her earned her BA in Liberal Studies from Fresno State University and a master’s in Administration and Supervision. Prior, she was an elementary teacher and progressed to become the first Hmong vice principal and subsequently, the first Hmong Woman Principal in the United States. She was appointed Instructional Superintendent for School Leadership in Fresno, overseeing educational programs and staff development across the district. In 2021, Misty has served as the Deputy Superintendent of Fresno Unified School District.
