A Social entrepreneur, community leader and change-maker. Thao-Urabe is the Founder and Network Director for the Coalition of Asian American Leaders (CAAL), which harnesses the collective power of Asian American leaders from sectors, generations and ethnicities to improve the lives of the community. She was a Bush Fellow in 2019 and received the Foundation’s Facing Race Award, the National Philanthropy Day Award, AZNS Most Influential Asian Americans Award, Augsburg College Courageous Woman Award and the Governor’s MLK Day Commitment to Service Award
