Lor was Miss Universe Laos 2022 and was the first Hmong woman descendant to complete in Miss Universe Laos and won. She move on to the world stage Miss Universe and was placed as one of the top 16 finalist from 84 participants; this was a breaking record for her home country Laos.
Prior to Miss Universe competition, Payengxa Lor won Miss Hmong Vientiane in 2019. She graduated from Xieng Khouang high school and continues to further her education in the Lao-American College in Vientiane. In 2018, Lor offer learn English session to fellow Hmong women or girls in Laos. She co-found the Hmong Women’s Network in the PDR to empower young women.
